Birds of a Feather Flock Together

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." (John 12: 32)
In a previous article, I wrote about a reality TV show I've been watching called I Want to be a Hilton about a group competing to win the opportunity to live in high society. Kathy Hilton is their host. When this programme is viewed from a different perspective, it is a wonderful demonstration of how consciousness creates reality.

The show's formula is two teams will be set different challenges. Members of the winning team will experience an aspect of high society, while the losers will face Kathy to discuss why they lost. Kathy will then eliminate one member of the losing team.

In the first episode, Kathy offered each of the 14 contestants a silver spoon with a green or blue ribbon tied around it. Each colour symbolised a team: the greens were Park Avenue and the blues Madison Avenue. Madison Avenue lost the challenge and they got a member eliminated. In the second episode, Madison Avenue lost again; ditto the third. By the fourth episode there were now seven members in the Park team and only three in Madison. Kathy suggested that Park nominate a member they wanted to move to the other side, which they did. Kathy also asked Madison to pick a member from Park, which they did. The teams were now even. Both teams were given another challenge. At the end of that task, Madison lost again. What's going on with Madison?

By the fifth episode, Kathy decided to make two members from Madison group captains. Jackaay was captain of the blue team while Latricia was captain of the green team. Each captain was asked to select who she wanted in her team. Both teams were set some challenges. Jackaay's team (the blue) won. What was interesting was that apart from Jackaay, all members of her team were from Park.

Now what struck me about this game was how the losers kept losing and winners kept on winning. Why? Because when you lose you are thinking of not losing which means your thoughts are focused on losing so you end up losing. In other words, wherever you focus your attention is magnified. On the other hand, if you are on a winning streak, and you focus only on winning, you attract more wins. This is why successful people tend to hang around with successful people. People who are interested in spirituality tend to hang around with like-minds. As the proverb goes: "birds of a feather flock together."

In the final show of I Want to be a Hilton Jaret was crowned the winner. Jaret was part of the Park Avenue team and member of the blue team. Is it possible Jaret already had a winner's mentality which attracted the same?
Success is not just about like attracting like, it is about how someone's positive attitude can influence those around him. Someone who is filled with joy can walk into a room with depressed people and the whole atmosphere will be instantly transformed. Why? Because joy has a higher frequency than depression, which will quickly raise the whole room. If you hang around someone or you are friends with someone who is always joyful or full of love, it rubs off on you. If your friend tends to manifest wonderful experiences because of her positive attitude and you are friends with her, you catch it and you find you start attracting wonderful experiences.

Imagine if you have a friend who is focused on awakening to her real Self? Even if you're not interested in the same, you will be influenced by your friend's frequency. You find you start to notice more synchronicities in your life. You might even start questioning who you are and why you are here.

What if you hang around with God all the time? What if you knew there was nothing but God? It's obviously going to rub off on you, isn't it? You are going to be like and behave like God. And your friends benefit, and their friends, and so it goes on.

If you tend to wallow in the mire, you will attract more of the same. You can always raise your frequency by reading inspirational material that lifts you up, which will end up attracting you to a friend who is on a higher frequency, and so it snow balls from there...until you soon realise you are Joy, Love, All There Is.

Choose your friends wisely.

With love,
Enocia
