Love is Always Present

Love occupies all time and space. Love is all there is.

Can you imagine what it means when we live with the realisation of Love's presence? This means that when I think of one second from now, Love is already there. Love is already in the next moment and the next. If I project into the future, I'll find Love waiting there. If I think about a past event, I'll find Love there.

What about all those scare-mongering stories of diseases, disasters and the like? Irrelevant. Love is already there.

What about the weather forecasts? Irrelevant. Love is already there.

What about worrying about how the future is going to pan out? Irrelevant. Love is already there.

What about the doctor's reports about your health? Irrelevant. Love is already there.

What about the prophecies? Irrelevant. Love is already there.

Whether you are feeling happy or sad, healthy or unhealthy, fear or love, Love is always there. Whether you are rich or poor, educated or illiterate, successful or a failure, good or evil, magnanimous or parsimonious, Love is all there is.

Does this mean the world will instantly be peaceful and everyone will feel love and happiness? It depends on whether people are open. You could be feeling Love's presence and sitting next to someone on a bus who is in deep depression. Speaking to the other might help lift her up if she's open. Your presence might also help lift her up. In order to continuously experience Love's presence, each of us has to open up to Love for ourselves. Love doesn't play favourites; Love is there for everyone.

Here's a Psalm that I love; it is a great reminder of Love's presence no matter what the appearances.

1: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2: Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3: Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
4: There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5: God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
6: The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7: The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
8: Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9: He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
10: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11: The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. (Psalm 46)
All my love,
